Iberian Tales

China Jump is a studio band formed by Joe Lee. It's creative vision is to explore and mesh all styles of music to create a cross-cultural sonic language for music lovers around the world. It's two other release; 'Beijing Express' & 'Lounge Jamming' explore the richness of both the Chinese and the Brazilian musicology, at the same time mixing other influences to achieve their cross-cultural goal. This release; Iberian Tales, explores the inner strength that's in all of us to confront and over come the odds that surround us on a daily basis. The band used 'El Cordobes', the famous Spanish bull fighter who single handedly glued a nation torn apart by a violent civil war, as an example of this strength, as does 'Olive Pickers' Session'. Goya's Dream explores the darkness of religious control. Then the band meshed Samba with Nu-Jazz on 'Take it! Shake it!' & 'Disco Mombassa' to reflect on the spirit of mankind to see the bright side of life no matter how poor and suppressed they maybe...these two tracks brings you 'Favela Cool'!
