Heading into my late-20s, I try to reassure myself daily that the last ten years or so haven't in fact been time wasted, but a valuable learning experience. True or not, I'm still convinced that in 30 years I'm going to be so content that I'll look back and insist that I wouldn't change anything in the past. Always the optimist. So even though I look back and wish I'd majored in something else in college, pushed myself more athletically over the years, been more financially responsible and perhaps even boozed a little less...I can't complain too much. Unless the Niners keep having losing seasons. THAT is really fuckin' pissing me off.
