Chasing the SunI am an accomplished performance musician and recording artist and a North Carolina native who has been steady at work developing my musical artistry since 1989. As a youth, I received private voice and guitar instruction from a collection of teachers. Later in life, my unique style of music developed through numerous live performances and endless hours of self-instruction.
I have a broad range of musical talent tucked into my portfolio. Classical, Flamenco, and Jazz are just a few. You'll also find me playing styles as diverse as Rock, Hip-hop, Reggae, Blues, Jam and Fusion in intimate, personal settings or at larger venues with my group, the XYB. My original music is a blended hybrid style. Searing solos are tempered with soaring melodies. Clean, syncopated rhythms are laced with soulful vocals that can switch instantly into a rapid-fire barrage of lyrical explosion.
On stage, I deliver a dynamic, high-energy performance. Highly-structured compositions are juxtaposed by on the spot, off the cuff, over the top, improvisational leads. My high energy stage-act is marked by my ever-present 1996 PRS custom through a MESA dual rectifier. Noticed for my talents, I am now being sponsored by a local custom guitar maker, GW Customz , who has provided me with a new custom Strat replica.When I am not performing with XYB, I can be found playing lead guitar (and bass) for another prominent local NC band, DL TOKEN If you can't catch me at an XYB show, check out DL Token's myspace or website for show times and you'll be sure to catch me there!
