A struggling actor's tall tales of fame and fortune are suddenly challenged when his hometown buddies make a surprise trip to Hollywood. He gets a house-sitting gig for a wealthy couple in the hills and is able to keep the lie going, until he foolishly claims to be friends with the guy who played Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite. As his awed friends clamor to meet their idol, he must spin ever more elaborate lies, or face the truth.
