About Me

The brothers Gilad and Tommer Hesseg are Israeli-born musicians who have been cooperating musically for the past 10 years. They have become known as composers and songwriters, perfecting their own special style and have performed as a duo in numerous clubs and concert halls all over the country. They are now in the process of reaching out to an international audience with new compositions in English performed by classical choir or by the too brothers them selves.Gilad Hesseg - born 1971 Gilad Hesseg has been active in the field of Israeli music for the best part of his life. He has composed numerous songs, using his own and others’ lyrics and has produced and directed several music projects of Israeli song and music. An evening of song to the words of 17 poems by the famous Israeli poet Rachel which Gilad recently composed, produced and directed together with his brother, Tommer Hesseg, was very successful resulting in some 60 theatre performances, as well as being broadcast on Israel Radio and T.V. Gilad studied with Prof. Shadai of the Te-Aviv Academy of Music within the framework of a course for gifted student musicians given by Shadai at the Haifa Rubin Conservatorium of Music, and studied piano, improvisation, orchestration/music arrangement in Haifa with Ms Ruth Appel. In his private life, Gilad holds a masters degree in public auditing from the Faculty of Political Science, Haifa University - and presently hold the position of internal auditor for the municipality of the town of Nesher, in addition to pursuing his music career.Tommer Hesseg – born 1976 Tommer Hesseg is a versatile and creative musician, the composer of numerous pieces of both popular and classical music. He has studied composition, orchestration, choir conducting, orchestral conducting, music education, etc…. and has received three Bachelor of Music degrees and a Master of Music degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (2002-2007) as well as completing a 3-year course at the Beit-Zvi College for the Performing Arts (1998-2001) in Ramat-Gan. Hesseg has won many prizes and accolades. Among them, grants from the Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance, from the American-Israel Cultural Foundation, Tel-Aviv, and several prizes and grants from the Beit Zvi College for the Performing Arts. He presently teaches at the HED College of Music in Tel-Aviv and at the Beit-Zvi College for the Performing Arts, Ramat-Gan, Israel and has been part of various other teaching projects. He is also manager of the Jerusalem Academy Chamber Music Choir – one of the leading choirs in Israel.
