The founders of Rasputin met at weekly jamming sessions which mostly existed out of boozin’ and experimentation with all sorts and styles of heavy music. From nasty blues ‘till death metal, from black metal to violent funk…basically anything they could and couldn’t handle. Educative days…In the winter of ’05-’06, bass-and vocalist Harold of the rocks (name of a Primus song, big fan!), rhythm guitarist Gönthar (something to do with hairy places, no details known) and lead-and solo guitarist Bunnyfart(hold it, animal control!) decided to do some local try-out gigs with a drum computer in search for a real drummer.Their meanings where successful and shortly after, drummer Acheron (must be something satanic…) joined the ranks. At the start of ’06 was the band ready and open for business.Enjoying the total freedom that music has to offer, Rasputin doesn’t label there self mainly as death, trash, speed, black metal or metal core, hardcore or whatever core. Not that this genres are disliked in some way, on the contrary their loved, but Rasputin likes to explore the full package of metal and other heavy music to express their madness and expand their sound.Rasputin just likes to play hard and fast in every way and all of the members have their different influences who connect in some way. That’s what makes Rasputin so interesting.First demo ‘boundaries’ recorded in 2007.
