BiO:
Dj Guila aka Gila Kretec aka Bart Paulus was born in the Netherlands in the year 1979 and started Djing in the mid 90's. He started with HipHop and House music. In the late 90's he’d seen the main House scene in The Netherlands and thought it was time to do something different then just mixing. HipHop was still his passion and he thought that he should give scratching a try. It looked easier then it seemed, but he was determent to go on. With some help of Dj ButterCutter he was able to learn various tricks and combo's, his arsenal of tricks expanded…
When he started scratching and mixing at a local youth center he met Quasi who was breakdancing there. Quasi’s interest in scratching was born and they hooked up to Q&A. They both loved HipHop, Funk, Jazz and Drum ‘n Bass and wanted to do something with all those genres.
So later they hooked up with Dj Infest and together they founded “The Pitchcontrol crew”. Together with Leonux, Flowtrigger ,Noie and Phutute-T they are working hard to organize there own party's and together they're going strong. He's also active in the dutch HipHop scene together with Royal, good friend en partner in the HoeIsIeNou HipHop party's at de Groene Engel (The Green Angel). Read more about The obnoxious,

Though a Hip-hop formation in essence, THE OBNOXIOUS doesn't shy away from musical escapades. We embrace every opportunity to broaden our scope.
To illustrate this: DJ Guila is also a member of the Drum'N'Bass collective 'Pitchcontrol' and Royal with Cheese produces Trip-hop/ambient/easy listening soundscapes under the monniker of 'Bob Bump'.
