I am here for Friends

About Me

Former professional singer & actor (medically retired due to the progressive nature of Cystic Fibrosis, which I suffer from).I was fortunate enough to be in many TV and theatre productions, ranging from panto to Macbeth ( the ridiculous to the sublime!), and created the role of Gavroche in Les Miserables at the Barbican and Palace theatre. When I feel well enough, I still adore to sing but it's purely for pleasure and my spirit these days thanks to my health. I am currently studying part-time for a Culture, Mind & Modernity degree, and it would not be an exaggeration to say the course has already blown my mind!I am a Romantic and tend to romanticize everything. Realism doesn't appeal to me, (in the arts, especially) and I agree with Oscar Wilde when he comments that anybody who calls a spade a spade should be compelled to use one.My fiancee says I am a dandy and who am I to argue with such an obvious truth? My favourite city is Florence.I believe that meat is murder.I enjoy music that has a dramatic aspect beating at its heart, but I reserve my musical love for those wonderful artists who are just as, if not more, interested in the art of performing and who put great effort into presenting a performance rather than taking to the stage looking like they've just done an oil change on their car.Tis the stage, darlings, and when on stage one should be larger than life! A mere gesture can transform a song from being quite sad to genuinely heartbreaking. If you doubt me on this I suggest you go and watch some footage of Edith Piaf.I can, and often do, fall in love with a green leaf, a star, a sparrow, a butterfly's wing.... I have a weakness for corsets and Dresden Dolls stockings and have often caused rows in our household by trying to persuade Her Ladyship to wear them every time we leave the house or, even more so, stay in. "I can't wear them to visit you in hospital!" is a refrain familiar to my ears. Fortunately, there is much more about me which even I don't know. After all, only the shallow know themselves. As Michel Foucault said, "Do not ask who I am and do not ask me to remain the same." I would urge everybody to carry a donor card..."Was I bored? No, I'm never fuckin' bored. That's the trouble with everybody - you're all so bored. You've had nature explained to you and you're bored with it. You've had the human body explained to you and you're bored with it. You've had the universe explained to you and you're bored with it. So now you just want cheap thrills and plenty of them, and it doesn't matter how tawdry or vacuous they are as long as it's new, as long as it's new, as long as it flashes and fuckin' bleeps in forty different colours. Well, whatever else you can say about me, I'm not fuckin' bored!"

Breathtaking and rare
You are totally enchanting and intriguing
But you usually don't stick around long!
You are best known for: your beauty
Your dominant state: seducing

What Type of Weather Are You?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Creatures Of The Night. Free Spirits and Non-conformists. People who look for more from life than money and possessions. The More We Possess The Less We Own Of Ourselves. Dreamers. Poets. Romantics. Fetishists. Vampyres. Idealists. Outsiders. Rebels. Revolutionaries. Artists, Singers, Writers & Actors who strive for the Beautiful and the Wreck of the Beautiful. Communists. Socialists & Pacifists. The ethically minded who are unselfish enough to refuse to support the global slavery and hideous cruelty perpetuated on animals by human beings and refrain from eating flesh. (It's not difficult, you know! Speciesism is just as disgusting as racism and sexism. They're all abuses of power.) Passionate people that push boundaries and have the punk spirit resonating inside them. I would love to have met Jesus Christ, the most amazing human being that has ever walked this wondrous planet. He showed us how we can live beautiful, joyous, full, compassionate lives and to spend even a few minutes in his company would surely be the most life changing, life-affirming and rapturous experience.
