Band Members: Matt Carbone, his guitar and his voice. Occassionally will sneak in the mandolin.
Influences: As a guitarist in general: EVH, Prince, Vernon Reid, Ty Tabor.
Acoustically/Songwriting: Dave Matthews, Edwin McCain, Robert Earl Keen, John Mayer, Bob Dylan, John Lennon/Paul McCartney, Springsteen, Prince and Ben Harper to name a few. The first two records I bought were Van Halen's 1984 and Prince's Purple Rain. They both had a tremendous influence on my early playing the guitar. The first CD I bought was U2's Joshua Tree in 1987. To this day it is one of my favorite albums...the raw emotion that Bono vocally presents and the Edge's melodic lines are incredible. 'With or Without You'...I could listen to it all day long and hear something new.
Sounds Like: Check the above influences, its kinda a mesh of all of those. A reveiwer said I was a cross between folk, folk rock, tex-mex, progressive folk and bluegrass.
