Geitungen is a trio playing folk music from Rogaland. The band has existed since 1997 and is known by it's rough and rythmic sound. They have recorded two albums, Vaniljesaus (only new composed tunes) and BRA KAST (traditional tunes from Rogaland). The last one, BRA KAST, was rewarded by the Norwegian Folk Music Awards 2005. Geitungen is today one of the oldest existing folk music bands in Norway.
