Rob Taylor was born and raised in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia where he was surrounded by music of all kinds. Rob began playing bass for a southern gospel group in the late 1980's then after turning 21 helped form his first band, SILENT THUNDER, which played classic rock and contemporary country around his hometown of Keyser, West Virginia. "Those were tumultuous times for me. I had a full-time job with all the benefits, and then there was this band that made $300 per weekend divided between the five of us." His dreams were put on the back burner. "One of my latest songs, "Drive," sums it up, 'I sold my dreams to pay the rent." Rob is now a professional truckdriver and is writing new material ranging from country, blues and acoustic rock from the heart. Until this new music comes available in recording, enjoy some of his earlier recorded material.
