Corrie Jones
The songs on this page are a combination of songs I have written and songs that I enjoy. I am currently playing mandolin and singing with the Goodtime Stringband and am having a heck of a lot of fun playing gigs every weekend.
Here is a little bio:
Corrie Jones is roots music vocalist who plays (a little) guitar and mandolin. Her tastes in music have changed greatly over the years and so has what she sings. A chorus girl throughout her younger years, she learned to sing harmony and how to face a crowd. For college, she travelled off to NYU to make it big in musical theater, but realized that a more stable life awaited her in other professions. Returning to New England to finish college, she discovered an unexpected liking of certain bluegrass and country artists, and now sings their songs with the Goodtime Stringband (find them under Friends). Her next project is to record a disc of originals with some traditional songs thrown in for good measure. Corrie says, "I love myself some good old fashioned hymns!"
