Many blessings to ya'll!
"A valiant lover of Christ stands his ground in temptations, and yields not to the crafty persuations of the enemy" Thomas Kempis
In Matthew 5:8 Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Christ calls us to be pure in all areas of our lives-- thoughts, speech, appearance and conduct.
Purity of Thoughts: The bible tells us, "Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8
Purity of Speech: "For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart" (Matthew 12:34)."But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way." James 3:8,10
Purity of Conduct: "Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
A "pure lifestyle" brings true freedom, fruition, happiness and most of all, romance -- without regret. It is not easy to stay pure in our atheistic world that rejects purity but do not be discouraged because in 1 Corinthians 10:13 it says, "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
"Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2
"For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit."
1 Thessalonians 4:7-8
