EVE-N-CHANCE is a small, volunteer run, pending non-profit 501(c)3 group.
Our goals are to assist the animal care and control organizations in understanding and promoting the breed that fills their shelters. Our hope is to partner with local animal control organizations, breed rescues, humane societies, and other non-profits in hopes
of reclaiming the Pit Bull's positive image.
So, we welcome you to be a part of something new, exciting, and destined to better the lives of Pit Bulls and the responsible Pit Bull owner's out there.Please, stay tuned and check back often. Some of the projects EVEN CHANCE will be diving into are:
- Advocacy and rescue of temperamentally sound dogs seized from organized dog fighting rings and humane cases
- Create and implement programs to promote and increase adoptions of shelter Pit Bulls
- Partnering and promotion of existing low-cost spay and neuter programs
- Low-cost Pit Bull training in a non-judgemental setting
- Public and community education to help dispel myth's and fears surrounding Pit Bulls
- Pit Bull ambassador programs using CGC and ATTS testing
- Evaluations of shelter Pit Bulls for programs such as LawDogsUSA
- Anti-Breed Specific Legislation efforts
- Resource development for Pit Bull owners and/or potential owners
- Training programs for Animal Control Officers that encourage voluntary compliance from problem Pit Bull owners in effort to "fix" the problem instead of manage it...
