"In Pursuit of Phatness" is the first album produced by D Lee, founder & leader of The Edge band out of Detroit, Michigan. The music covers a wide range of styling from contemporary instrumental JAZZ grooves like the title song, to R&B singing with some POP and REGGAE influences like, "Spiritual Man," "Get Me Through The Night," and "Put The Money In The Basket." "Rock The Boat" is a great PARTY song and is a favorite at live shows.
This CD features some of the finest musicians and vocalists from Detroit including Kymberli Wright, the lead singer of Grammy nominated all female jazz group, "Straight Ahead." "In Pursuit of Phatness" includes ten original songs plus a beautiful arrangement of Chaka Khan's "Everlasting Love.â€
"Fabulous" is a voyeuristic journey with Detroit's hottest band featuring premiere vocalist Deb Alane. The group's second CD will take you on an eclectic ride, exploring all of the fabulous facets of life from heartbreak to triumph, with music you just have to dance to! All 14 songs are written by Producer/Pianist, D Lee, and lead vocalist Deb Alane, along with a variety of collaborators including guitar virtuoso, Earl Klugh.
