Saxophonist Chris Anderson

About Me

On the Middle Georgia Music Scene since 1979! After graduating from Perry High School and not being academically inclined, Chris decided to do the only thing he was good at--THE SAXOPHONE.The summer of 1980 Chris found himself backing an "Elvis"impersonator and hitting the road as well as performing many tribute shows in the South. In 82', tired of the "Hound Dog" and "C.C. Ryder", Chris started to perform with some of the finest local bands in the Middle Ga. area. Among these were Sneezz, Southbound,Spunk,The Fred Robinson Big Band, The Georgia Big Band, Silk and Steel,The Chase Band, Sweet Baby,Vital Signs, Them Lizards,Top Notch, Winchester,The Grapevine,The Missin Links,Creative Chaos,Sensations,Road Pizza,The Tickets,One Big Party and too many more to count.Chris has had the fortunate opportunity to be on recording sessions at the famed Muscadine Studios, Phoenix Sound Studios(Formerly Capricorn Studios),Mark Durden Studios,Hidden Meaning Studios and Reel to Reel Studios here in Georgia. Chris has done commercial jingles and session work for some of Georgia's premier talents. Among these are Paul Hornsby,E.G.Kight, Jim Eshelman,Sheila Brown, Scott and Cynthia McDonald, Larry G .Hudson, Donnie Helms,Nate Carswell, Reuben Morgan,Kentucky songwriter Tom Small and many others.Chris has shared the stage or had the call to perform with members of "Stillwater" of Capricorn Records fame, Members of "Doc Holliday", Larry G. Hudson, E.G. Kight, Paul Hornsby,Chris Hicks of the Outlaws, Percy Sledge, Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, The Four Tops,The Temptations, Chris Chandler and many others.Chris has had the blast of opening up many big name artists such as .38 Special,Atlanta Rythmn Section, Molly Hatchett, Scott Boyer and Cowboy, George Howard, David Clayton Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears, Little Richard, The Tams,The Swinging Medallions, Bluesman Little Eddie,Carolyne Akien, Francine Reed, Eric Quincy Tate, Grinderswitch, Mothers Finest and many others.Chris is currently active in performing local and recording tracks for a new cd.
