Painter, stone carver, songwriter Kevin McKrell a founding member of some very popular bands. First and foremost Celtic group Donnybrook Fair, and his namesake band, The McKrells . He has perfomed at some of the top Irish, Bluegrass and Folk Festivals including The Milwaukee Irish Festival, Irish 2000, East Durham Irish Festival,, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.Winterhawk Bluegrass Festival Friehofer Jazz Festival, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival,Turtle Hill Folk Festival, Celebration of Celts The Detroit Irish Festival, The Savannah GA. Irish Festival, The North Texas Irish Festival,The Buffalo Irish Festival, , Celtic Classic ,Musikfest, In Ireland Kevin has performed at The Kilworth Arts Center, De Barras in Clonakilty, Matt Molloys in Westport,The Square Pint in Kenmare The Midelton Folk Club. His musical talents have been showcased all over the U.S. and Ireland and his songs have been recorded and performed by many groups, including folk favorites The Fureys, Seamus Kennedy , from Scotland North Sea Gas, irish American wonder band Hair of the Dog, Pat McKernan from Australia and most recently The Kingston Trio and Woods Tea Company.As well as on Folk icon Bob Shane’s new recording ‘ The World Needs a Melody ’ In a review of the Kingston Trio By Robert Friedman, Mr Friedman wrote “ the Trio performed a new song titled ALL THE HARD DAYS ARE GONE by songwriter Kevin McKrell. Other than ROLLING RIVER, this is the best new song to come to the Trio in thirty years “ His oil paintings and stone work , some of which can be seen in the photo section of this site, have won numerous awards.
