EDWIN A. SANTOS was born and raised in Chicago, Ilinois. An alumnus from the School of Cinema & Television Arts at California-State University, Northridge, Edwin produced and appeared in the award-winning indie film, "Mad Cowgirl" starring Sarah Lassez, Walter Koenig, James Duval and Devon Odessa. Other film & television credits include "It's Like You Know," "The Last Eve," "Raspberry & Lavender" and most recently, "Brown Soup Thing." He has wrapped on a new film project tentatively titled, "No Regrets." Currently, he is prepping for two more film projects.
He has appeared on such interview publications as "Balita USA" (above article), "California Examiner," "Weekend Balita" and "Television Production: Disciplines and Techniques (6th Edition)" by Thomas D. Burrows, Lynne S. Gross and Donald N. Wood.
Edwin got his start as a PA for executive producer Mark Massari's syndicated reality television show, "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol." He has also assisted on "Power Rangers Zeo" for Saban Entertainment and later, as 2nd AD for a TV pilot series executive produced and directed by Valerie Landsburg. ("Fame").
Today, he works at Media Operations & Programming for the Comcast Entertainment Group (E! Entertainment, G4TV, Style Network, FearNetHD, etc.) and is the marketing director for CINEMA EPOCH
Edwin was an active member of the Southern California Chapter of American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) from 1992-1996. While there, he helped organize various committees such as the 1993 Industry Awards, the 1993 Celebrity Auction as well as the 1993 & 1994 Genii Awards.
Moreover, he was a member of the Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers (SMPTE) from 1993-1997. a member of the Media Action Network for Asian-Americans from 1998-1999 and an active member at the Academy of Science Fiction, Horror & Fantasy Films from 1997-1999. He attended the Academy's 23rd annual Saturn Awards from a special invitation from the Academy's late founder, Dr. Donald A. Reed.
