Proudly from the Lone Star State of Texas,
Edric Ray is one of the most charismatic performers to ever hit country music. If everything really is bigger in Texas, then they don't get any bigger than the hopes, dreams and sincerity that come within the heart of this performer.
Edric Ray notes, "The most important thing I take with me on stage every time I perform is heart. You can have all the talent in the world, but without heart, you have nothing."
Edric Ray began his singing career back in the mid 90's. He began songwriting in high school and eventually taught himself to sing and play the guitar. His first published song came about in 1995, when Texas recording artist Mark Alan Sammons, recorded a song Edric Ray co-wrote entitled "Good As Gold". This song would earn the honor of being the title track to Sammons' debut album. Edric Ray would go on to include his version of the song in his live show.
Consisting of very talented musicians, Edric Ray took his band and hit the road and began to play live venues around the West Texas area. Since then Edric Ray has traveled and performed in many of the Southern states to include places like Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nevada, and Tennessee.
Known for his great, high energy, live shows, Edric Ray has had much success with his music everywhere he's gone. Edric Ray has performed both on television and radio and continues to deliver an awesome product.
One of Edric Ray's career highlights include a performance at the Original Grand Ole Opry at the historical Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
He has crossed paths and shared the stage with many fellow performers like ACM Award winning group Ricochet and country music legends like Juice Newton. Edric Ray has had the honor of being of the company of many other fellow artists like Rhett Akins, Rick Trevino, Billy Dean, Darryl Worley, Michael Peterson, Sherrie' Austin and Lila McCann, just to name a handful.
Edric Ray has even performed with members of George Strait's "Ace In The Hole" band.
Having three sisters and one brother, Edric Ray attributes his positive experiences in his music to the strong family upbringing he's had.
Edric Ray states "Family is the most important thing in the world to me. More important than music. It has to be. To me, success and fame are nothing without someone to share it with."
And family has never been more important to him then it is now. Now the proud father of his little girl, Trystan Rayne Sienna, Edric Ray has the renewed desire and dedication he needs to succeed.
With a solid country voice, a big heart, a soul full of sincerity and a body packed full of charisma and passion, Edric Ray will no doubt be one of the next biggest things to come out of Texas!
