Hey there! My name is Jaclyn, and I am currently 19 years old (a college freshman). City born and suburb bred. There's no city like Chicago. Music has been apart of my life since the age of two, when I first began singing Nat King Cole's "LOVE". From there, I picked up a variety of instruments. (Guitar, clarinet, bass, drums). I was bit by the songwriting bug around the age of 11, and have been addicted to writing ever since. I try to stray away from complex musical theories or deep metaphorical lyrics...I wear my heart on my sleeve, and would rather not hide behind a sea of metaphors to get a message/feeling across to my listeners. Outside the hustle and bustle of my songwriting, I'm just your ordinary full-time student: I get good grades, weekends are lovely, my friends are amazing. My family loves and encourages me in everything I do, and we are all strong support systems for each other. We're pretty darn tight. My only goal is to keep music in my life as long as I possibly can, and this is only the beginning...
