I am here for Friends

About Me

I am not of the mainstream society type. You see, I don't care who won American Idol, or what popular sports team scored more points than the other popular sports team(except for MNRG). The only news I want to see about Paris Hilton is when she's dead. Yes, I like the alternative and obscure things in life. No KS95 or hip-hop culture for me.
I can generally describe myself as an old-fashioned person, but open to new ideas.
Things I do/like:
Car restoration
Ripping old vinyl albums to mp3.
Hitting the gym. Yay for Lifetime Fitness
Explore early 1980s nostalgia
Going to Minnesota Rollergirls bouts religiously
Vacationing when I can. Places I've already been to: England, Toronto, LA, Amsterdam, Japan
Classic(and of course, obscure) video games
Things I do not like:
People who are "famous for being famous"(Paris Hilton)
hip hop culture
mushrooms
whole or tomato slices
passive aggressive behavior(ie "Minnesota Nice")
spambots
Things I do not understand:
private profiles(on a social networking site?)
why the biggest drunk in the bar talks to me
flakey behavior(nice one minute, rude the next)
unreadable profiles

My Interests

Anything from the early 1980s, helicopters, British cars, vinyl pants, obscure video games, obscure 80s music, meditation, staying clean, anything from England, fetishwear, parallel universes, technology, old-school BBSes, collecting records, 80s fashion, women that wear classic stiletto heels, Triumph TR-8 convertibles, humor, satire, Homestar Runner, Triumph Spitfires, Lego, British Flag shirts, or just about anything with a Union Jack on it.

But that's just a laundry list.

I'd like to meet:

Someone who isn't "too busy" for me.
Someone who actually answers when I call them, or better yet, calls me.
Someone to try out quirky new resturaunts with.
Someone to go to roller derby, er, MNRG bouts with.
Someone that visits unexpectedly.
Someone who replies to my messages, with more than 1 sentence.
That's not too much to ask for, is it?

Roller Derby Humor: teams rejected by WFTDA
