About Me

Whaddup Myspace! This is Trence. Some of yaw know me by my childhood name Terrance. I'm from Peoria, IL. Moved to Cedar Rapids about 11 years ago July of 1996. I am currently a member at Living Waters Family Worship Center, where the pastor is none other than Pastor Cymaron Dawson. I'm definitely excited about that. In addition to that I will also be the worship leader at Cedar Rapids Family Church, Daniel Winn is the pastor. I do have a heart for Praise and Worship, but everytime I think about it, I begin to realize how much I'm not living up to the standard of a worshipper and that alone pushes me to get to that level of being a real worshipper. God is also putting me in a position where I can learn different styles of praise and worship. Myspace, know this, if you just doing black gospel music (ain't nothing wrong w/ it) and not expanding your horizions, you won't be able to minister to everybody but only the black community, which is ok but that really limits God and what he wants to do in your life. Paul said, "I've become all things to all men, that I might by all means gain some, "Let's use that same principle in music, let's be able to minister to the white, latino, asian, african, czech, european, french, russian, indian people as well. God has given us all things to make world impact and it's lies in each of us who are believers in Jesus Christ. Jesus gave us a commission and when He tell us to do something, that means that for some odd reason he sees the potential in us to do what he called us to do and that is stated in Matt 28:19-20 "Go into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe whatsoever things I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you alway into the end of the world.Anyway, workwise, I current work at PRC where I am a insurance agent for Gerber Life Insurance Company. I currently have 21 licenses in 21 states. I can't wait to get all 51 states (DC is a state now)...

My Interests

Music, music....oh, did I mention music? Jazz, gospel and contemporary christian. I'm getting into some Bill Gaither Southern Gospel (Love the way Jodi Sellers said it. LOL!(Jodi Sellers, awesome artist, yaw check her out. www.jodisellers.com) and SOME country.

I'd like to meet:

Those who has the same passion. I am a musician and I have a passion to edify the body of Christ through the music that God has given me. Cut out all the cliches and the fluff. There is music (for those who really are in the gospel music ministry to minister to the people of God and to lost souls) that God has placed in us that people need to hear and if we aren't walking in that we are loosing that opportunity. Also those who aren't fake. What I mean by that is if you gonna act a certain way, do it consistently. Don't act one way for one person then another way behind they back.
