About Me

I have been living in Varanasi, India learning traditional tabla (drums) for some handful of years. My guruji, or tabla teacher, is Pandit Ishwar Lal Mishra, disciple of the great Anokhe lal Mishra. When i am here in the states, i work to integrate tabla into whatever meaningful music i can...an exploration into where tabla can go in the western realm of things.. Being a westerner and female tabla player is truly rare..i hope that makes the world a little more weird and unusual. please contact me if you are interested in working on music!
