About Me

where do i start , its all been one big mess from start to present!!! first developed a love for dance music in general by goin to the Hacienda (R.I.P. mr wilson), listening to graham park , nipper , dave rolf and associates. i was lucky to be going out around the time when the night life scene in Manchester was ready to explode. a lot of nights and clubs such as Tangled and Sankey Soap managed to forge reputations they are still making steam out of now. Tghis lead to me taking photographs in nightclubs (im a photographer as well) which in turn took down a lighting operating/engineering path. it was great getting payed to drink beer , cop off and twiddle about with someone elses 25k sound rig and light set up and lasers a nd 2 x 3k strobes!!fookin ell strobes are mint , crank them up full whack and they blew the circuit breakers!!!. the natural progression was then onto dj`ing and im proud to say i wasnt just a dance dj , i could also do a bit of rock/indie/chart/cheese/retro but my heart was always pumping fastest to a 4/4 beat and synths. so i ran a trance after party back in 2001 called Logical where we had some good guests on such as Terry Pointon (Tangled) and Dean Wilson (golden). previous to this i gained some good exprience helping the Transgressions boys with there after party. worked with some big names there ,Matt Hardwick ,Lee Haslam ,Alex Kidd ,Guffy ,Amber D (before she was famous!!)and Dave the parking warden. and of course the mighty jimboonstar who liked to stand on the lip of the dj box and get his cock out and let off fire extinguishers when the nights were in full flow. Unforunately thius all went west in a cloud of cocaine and too much beer and temporary insanity.sorry boys, i think i was was was was a bit nuts......... ah well never mind..........i was lucky enough to have a trek around the local scene with my record bag playing seminal gay club Cruz 101 through mardi gras. what an experience that was!! had some good nights in there , the manchester gay community sure know how to have a good time its was and still is an awaesome atnmosphere in there especially ion the dark and dirty back room which was my favourite during my time there. then there was denvers , home of the scally. shame it had shut down it wasnt that bad in there. Stans Hollow was an experience totally out there on its own. the owner was a fire hazard to sa the least , he liked to set fireworks and pyro effects off in the club.sometimes when it was open.yes when we were OPEN. had some good good times there its a shame it went tits up.done some dj`ing locally on my first logical progression whic was cancelled after a shooting incident at the venue (not on my night i hasten to add). and now the beat goes on with the tunes i right, so feel free to have a listen and then post a reaction.always intrested in colborating with like minded peeps or just making general music chat , techniques tips and so o. thanks for reading this might speak soon . boony
