The team were formed in 1970 and in that time have won a few league titles in NWCFL and Manchester Leagues. The most recent cup win was winning the Cheshire Senior Cup in 2004, beating Witton Albion in the final, becoming the first ever North West Counties Football League team to win the trophy. The teams colours are red and blue stripes. Woodley also is one of 2 football clubs in the UK to use 'fieldturf' as their pitch. The club currently play in the First Division North of the Unibond League.
