Serving the hungarian drum & bass community since 1999, not only as an online magazine, message board but promoter aswell, ImpulseCreator is reaching towards another status, establishing IPC ProFiles netlabel. The label as it is referred in the name is providing mp3 files (in 320 kbps) for home listeners and DJ's, using the ever-growing alternatives of free digital distribution on the internet. Our aim is to present new artists who has no other chance to showcase their talents yet but we think their work is worth to reach an audience; and to release tracks from established producers that haven't been signed for some reason.
IPC ProFiles is an open minded drum & bass label, we don't see it divided in subgenres. We don't plan to release regulalry, only when we find the music what we think is deserved our support. Quality over quantity.

Bal: The Promise / I Want You To Knowhttp://www.impulsecreator.hu/ipcprof002.php3
release notes:
"What I have always liked about drum and bass is the amalgation of styles. Listening to Bal's music you can clearly recognize that he was inspired by Calibre, D-Bridge, early Bad Company, Source Direct etc. and these influences are blending in his tracks creating something new. I like his low-key, clean sound, he's clearly not trying to jump on the bandwagon of using multiple hihat layers, creating that piercing treble range so typical in today's drum'n'bass.
Kicking off with some mysterious sounds and turning into a crime flick's soundtrack, "The Promise" threatens rather than promises. As the 808 boom-boom bass drops the tune calms down, proving once again that Bal is definitely not out to hit you in the head with an axe. Gentle funk with a suspense thriller twist.
As a contrast, the B-side with "I Want You To Know" has a uniqely dreamy and nostalgic feel to it which of course Bal is also about: crispy breaks reminiscent of the golden years, fragments of vocals and synths and the essential boom-boom bass. Sweet!"

Snaper: The Fear EPhttp://www.impulsecreator.hu/ipcprof001.php3
release notes:
"Our first release is a three-track EP from Hungary's best-kept secret, Snaper. He's only 20 years old and even we never heard him before, but his music is mature and well-thought enough to already see him as an established producer with a unique sound. And what did he bring us? His own version of dark, creepy drum & bass with the spookiest, cinematic breakdowns.
Fear is like the epitome of his production as he said, his goal with music is to obsess people by fear. Starting with a long intro you're listening to a monoluge of a girl twisted like it was no human voice. Dark soundscapes, fierce pads and suddenly appeared subs guides thru the drumfunk oriented amen-fuelled piece.
The Light kicks off with a chopped up amen break and spacey key pattern - we don't really know what's gonna happen until the breakdown. Guess what, then it turns into an agressive amen smasher. Watch out for that menacing lead!
We would think No Way has the same favour as The Light, yet Snaper can bring upon us another twist whenever he wants and made a dark but more playful, varied and detailed amen tearout. Snaper style.
Watch out for his complex beats on Exegene too, where he delivers Etron - as Cube said -, his very own version of breakcore."
