About Me

So generally speaking, I'm a Hippie Chick, but my mom never left the house without her lipstick on ("you never know who you might meet..."). Guess a little of that rubbed off on me (ok, maybe a LOT of that rubbed off on me), 'cause I'm a Hippie Chick that likes to wear make-up and red lipstick. I went to Muskingum College, but only because I had the flu the day I was to audition for the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and my Voice teacher was already a Professor at Muskingum, so it made sense to go there for a year and not be sick for the next year's auditions. But, I loved that silly little ivied up private school in the middle of no where - it was so beautiful and for the most part, so were the people who went/taught there. Met some really cool folks, learned some groovy stuff about the Social Construction of Man, had my own radio show and oh yeah, I married my Philosophy Professor. SCANDALOUS!!!We fled to Southern California, and I am now am the proud of mother of a ridiculously precocious 6-year old and his one-year old sweet-baby sister. I spend most of my free time either in my tiny little pottery studio in my garage, or jamming with my truly talented guitar-playin' Philosopher husband and our friends. Life is Good. And "getting better all the time" to quote Lennon & McCartney, if I may.Oh yeah... I track stalkers with this:

Bats in my Belfry

From my "Throwing Pots" Blog As much as it makes me crazy to live in the chaos that is Southern California, I am not blind to its advantages. One of the best is living within a 20 minute drive of San...

Bemoaning the loss of a favorite pipe-dream

Ike is dead.  Now, generally speaking, outside appearances would lead you to believe that this bit of information would not affect me in any way whatsoever.  I'm a thirty-something, re...

RANT: Why wont anyone listen? Am I THAT bad?

So... I was something of a known-singer in high school and college (that's an understatement), and now, I can't get any of my friends to listen to me! I've won awards, been paid for profess...
