We suffer primarily not from our vices or our weaknesses, but from our illusions.

About Me

Years ago if you put a bib on me Id end up in a relentless screaming tantrum. Desperate for freedom Id tug a at til Id turn blue and gasp for air. The same went for socks, dresses and turtlenecks. In all the years nothing has changed. I despise restraint. One day I will live in a nudist colony and only wear knitted scarves around my neck and striped socks on my feet. I will drink bourbon whiskey and mint juleps in my rocker on the patio while my unattached wrinkled lover will strum the banjo and I will sing off key.
Ever try walking backwards downhill? Close your eyes. It feels as if your falling.
Over all else, I trust my instincts the most. I’m not afraid to call bullshit. Although I'll admit I'm still learning to call myself out.
I’m spellbound by intelligent speakers and those who reflect themselves rather than an image.
I have always lived life as if tomorrow were the end and yesterday wasn't good enough. Possibly because I cant remember yesterday. The lessons learned were learned far too young and all by mistake or missed luck. Incidentally, causing a rapid approach toward life and a severe disconnection with the numerals on my birth certificate. I’ve come to live by an unstructured attitude able to adapt and relate easily, finding strength in weaknesses. I approach all things in stillness and in silence, finding truth.
Sometimes I feel as If I’m watching life through a kaleidoscope, the colors are beautiful but the picture is distorted. Somewhat of a Peter-Pan. I play tackle football with the boys til 3 a.m. Ill try anything once. I hate going to bed but still manage never to wake up on time for anything. I frequently get lost in conversations with complete strangers and miss my bus. In general, I care but I don’t concern myself for long. My tears wont be wasted. I never prejudge. I dance to the music in my head and I don’t care what the person behind me thinks. I’m a lover, not a fighter but I can still kick your ass. (in a pair of stiletto heels)
And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. ~Abraham Lincoln
The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.~Charles DuBois
Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect of one of Goethe's couplets: Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. ~W.H. Murray

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The stranger that smiles in passing.

Music:

I am an eclectic listener. The first CD I ever bought was Hanson. (MmBop...giggle) I later burned this CD out of embarrassment, now I wish I had held on to it.
I listen to twangy country when I want to remember home, everything from The Judds and Leann Womack to Garth Brooks and Kevin Sharp.
My cd's represent the punk legacy. Ive been in over 100 mosh pits and have the scars to prove it.
I fuck to Ramstein and Rob Zombie.
I cry to Gary Jules and A Fine Frenzy. I inhale Leonard Cohen's every breath.
I belt it to Janis Joplin, Joan Osborne, Macy Gray and Regina Spektor.
I fall asleep to The White Buffalo, and Johnny Cash.
I get high to Afroman, Buju Banton, and good ol' Bob. Toss in a little Bennassi, Daft Punk, Jamiroquai, and Fatboy Slim. Cake, Everlast, Adam Oi, Tom waits, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Cherry Popin Daddy's, 311 and Pepper. Slightly Stoopid, Peter Tosh, Nine Inch Nails, Ray Charles, Hendrix, Zeppelin, G&R, Tom Petty, and BLAH BLAH BLAH.
I grew up in the Hood of Sublime and I will forever represent.

Movies:

I am a Tarantino, Burton, Rodriguez Fan.
My Faviorite movie is Amelie. Im expanding my appreciation for independent films. Oh and if its a legendary film that the rest of the world has seen chances are I have never seen or even heard of it. Thank you sheltering mother who, if she had her way I would have never seen a... (gasp!)...PG-13 movie!!! BUT... My own scripts will be coming soon!

Books:

:) Yes Please!

Heroes:

The single parent, the independent, the self-made entrepeneur, those who refuse to stay down when kicked, those who stand up for the under dog, those who smile through the tears, those you look to the future in hope even though the past hasnt given any, and those who see the beauty of life and have found their own unique way of expressing it to the world.
