Louise Hudson

About Me

Louise currently works as a session musician doing recording and live work for various composers, bands and producers. If you want to hire her for Vocal, Keys, Cello or Composition work, please send a message to this myspace page."Musical from the day she was born; Louise picked up the piano and cello from an early age and began to explore her talent. Her musical experience varies wildly from choirs and orchestras, to performances in musicals and opera on the stage, to fronting her own band and playing the pub circuit as part of the acoustic duo ‘TOO’.Louise is now going solo to showcase her own material which draws on her experiences growing up and falling back down. Her influences include strong female solo artists such as Bjork, Fiona Apple and Imogen Heap, as well as modern Jazz artists such as the Japanese pianist Hiromi, the bizarre Polar Bear and the hypnotic Waking Vision, and also draws on classical composers such as Debussy and Ravel for harmonic colour. She sounds like all of these and none of these at the same time. She specialises in storytelling with a sting in its tail and music that often takes unexpected turns. The only way to judge her work is to watch her sing, play her piano and explore the witticisms of her writing."
