Jason Bricks formerly known as Prince JB was born March of 1990 in Columbus, Ohio. According to Jason Bricks’ mother, sister & brother, he was “rapping” before he could talk by picking up spoons, markers, combs and anything else and mumbling, so Christmas of 1991, his mother bought him a toy microphone. He didn’t really take music serious until he was about 11. Bricks’ rapping mentor and older brother, Larome “R.O.” Langston saw the same hunger in Jason Bricks did he once had. Bricks found himself hustling to buy pro microphones, music programs, etc. The seventeen year old MC started to get recognized at in the underground world of the Murda Mitten [Lower Peninsula of Michigan]. He has also performed at many talent shows and showcases around Michigan and Recently opened for Tyrese aka Black-Ty during his VH1 SOUL ALTER EGO TOUR. Bricks states his influences are his Brother R.O., Dr. Dre, Eminem, Nasir Jones, T.I., Tupac Amaru Shakur, The Game, Rakim, Notorious B.I.G, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z Dre 3000 & JR Writer.Bricks music has caught the ear of teens and older adults on the websites MySpace, AmieStreet and Soundclick. Unlike his mainstream counterparts Jason Bricks can rap about anything which he does. Neither flashy jewelry nor fancy cars seem to have the young emcee influenced but more of what everyday people see, do, feel and live. On March 10, 2007 [His 17th Birthday] He officially changed his stage name from Prince JB to Jason Bricks. A week later he was signed by C. Michael “Big Mike” Madison and Larome “R.O.” Langston to an independent label based in Monroe, MI named Totally Focused Entertainment. His talents go further than just rapping. He has been producing music for himself and many other artists in Toledo, Ohio and the Detroit Metro Area for almost 3 years. He has been DJing since February 2007 and Ghostwriting and Songwriting for almost 2 years. Jason Bricks is honestly a diamond in the ruff and you will being hearing more of him…..soon
