About Me

American-Israeli pianist and composer Noam Lemish (b.1982) began his classical and jazz studies in Israel. Following his high school studies, he settled in Sonoma County, California where he has quickly become one of the leading young jazz pianists in the Bay Area. A recent graduate of Sonoma State University, Lemish has appeared in countless performances across the San Francisco Bay Area, Israel and beyond. Lemish has performed with such musicians as: John Handy, Billy Hart, James Newton, Julian Lage, George Marsh, Mel Graves, Dayna Stephens, Babatunde Lea, Mel Martin, Shea Breaux Wells and many others. In addition to his original projects and work as a sideman, Lemish has also toured with The San Francisco Mime Troupe (2003) and has composed music for theater and dance productions, most notably: UBU RULES! (2005) and Verlaine: Muse and Music Maker (2005). Lemish is currently partnering up with percussionist George Marsh on a duo project featuring original compositions and improvisations.
