At only 17 years young, Architekt, the newest addition to the Highpower family, is destined to make his mark in the hip hop community. Born & bred on the mean streets of Chicago, Architekt has learned to fend for himself at an early age. Yet throughout his personal tribulations, he has still managed to acquire this amazing gift of words. A true emcee/lyricist, Architekt pays homage to those who came before him while still holding his own to emcees the likes of any age. Discovered where else but rhyming in a cipher on the corner of the Blackstone church in the southside of Chicago, he caught the ear of veteran producer/engineer Phil Gates. Architekt's music embellishes more maturity & soul than most of the industry may be used to nowadays. Most definitely a welcome breath of fresh air to fans of true hip hop, as well as just plain old good music. His favorite emcees include an array of lyricists who have paved the way for his generation of talent as opposed to just a bunch of nonsense "hip pop". Kool G Rap, Rakim, Kane, & Nas to name a few as an example of just how much of an 'old soul' this 17 year old emcee is. Now teamed up with Highpower's Production team, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Keep on the look out for his album mid 2008, & be sure to cop the Highpower mixtape early 2008.
