About Me

Cyperus was a metal band from Olympia Washington from the early 80's until 1994.
Cyperus toured nationally from 1992 thru 1994 and played with several great bands… Metal Church, Heathen, Defiance, The Accused, Celtic Frost, Nuclear Assault, Precious Metal, Death Squad, Fitz of Depression, The Melvins, Forced Entry, Nevermore, Bitter End, Alice in Chains, My Sister's Machine, Neil Zaza, Chemikill, Wargasm, Blind, Godhead, and several more...

self-titled 5-song demo recorded in 1986
Full length album recorded in 1988 that was never released (except for a few cassette tapes produced in 1991 titled Blow It Out Your Ass)
5-song demo produced by Kurt Vanderhoof in 1990 that was never released
Dive ta Dat - 4-song demo recorded in 1991 and never released (except for a few copies for the Candia tour with Forced Entry)

So what happend to the guys after life in Cyperus? Jason & Randy are currently in the band Moms Rocket. Bruce is back in town! We hung out with us at the last Moms Rocket show. He is looking great...

Digital masters under way

Good news!  I just got the first copies of the 'restoration masters' of the early Cyperus recordings.  1/2 master tapes had to be oven baked so they wouldn't shed, and shuttled onto smaller...
