Of all people, I'd like to meet Bette Midler. I have been a die-hard fan, since I was eight-years-old. I began my infatuation with her after I saw Hocus Pocus in 1993. After that, I began renting and buying all of her movies that I could. I became a fan of her music through Hocus Pocus, as well, after hearing her perform "I Put a Spell on You". After that, I began buying all of her albums.Besides being a terrific actress, singer, and entertainer, she's a terrific human being. She loves to see a clean world. In 1994, she started a non-profit organization called The New York Restoration Project where she and a group of people pick up trash in New York City's parks and vacant lots. Her reasoning was because she said that everyone needs a beautiful place to go to think and grow. She couldn't be more correct! She is an amazing person, and I hope to one day tell her how much she means to me. Her music, among other things, has gotten me through some pretty tough times in my life, including the death of my grandmother and the death of my grandfather. She's the best, and I will continue to follow her career and be a die-hard fan until the day I die!"Cherish forever what makes you unique 'cuz you're really a yawn if it goes." - Bette Midler."Remember, it's only in the black of night you can see the stars, and those stars lead you back home. So, don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble or fall, 'cause most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe, you'll get everything you wish for; maybe, you'll get more than you ever could've imagined. Who knows where life will take you? The road is long, and, in the end, the journey is the destination." - Barry Corbin (Coach Whitey Durham on One Tree Hill).

I am so blessed to have a plethora of people with whom I look up to and who have helped me be a better person. Above all, my heroes are my parents. They have been through everything, have remained together for so many years, and have been there for me all throughout my life.Secondly, both sets of my grandparents are heroes of mine because, like my parents, they have endured many things throughout their lives, remained married to each other for many years, and have always been there to help me along the way. (Even with one grandparent gone on each side, I can still count on them to listen to me whenever I need them.)Thirdly, my brother is a hero of mine because he has remained supportive and caring throughout my life. Plus, I know that if I ever need anything, I can call him.Fourthly, my best friend, Sarah, is a hero of mine because she and I have a very special relationship which no one seems to understand, except the people that matter; we share our own language and ways of making each other laugh, as well. I love her like she is the sister I never had and thank her for everything she’s done for me and will continue to do for me for the rest of my life.Fifthly, another hero of mine is my girlfriend and the love of my life, Rhiannon. With her love and support in everything I do, she has helped me become a better person than I ever wished to be. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for the two of us.Lastly, my undying admiration and, I'll say it, obsession with Bette Midler has helped me through some pretty tough times. (You can read more about that under the "Who I'd Like to Meet" part of my profile.) The song "Wind Beneath My Wings" goes for all of these people, so it's only fitting that Bette Midler is the singer of that song.
