About Me

..
.. ROBIN has Played Saxophone since he was sixteen, when he started playing Jazz with his brother's 'CLAUDE WILDMAN QUINTET'. He has since played with a variety of bands and covered a gamut of modern musical tastes including; Dance, Pop, Jazz, Classic Rock, Jazz-Rock and Folk.
He played the LONDON CLUBS and the CARRIBEAN CLUB MED, with his own seven and ten piece jazz/Rock bands 'STREWTH' and 'THE MOTHER TUCKERS', their first recording was 'Primrose Hill' for Chapel Music in the early 70's. the single was held from release, when they turned down the offer of backing ARTHUR BROWN on his European 'Fire tour'.
He also toured Detroit and New York with Detroit's 'STONEFRONT', who are releasing the first of a series of albums later this year.
He is currently appearing with Hereford based guitarist/writer/producer 'JOHN PERKINS' and at Music festivals and venues in the UK.
"Although I have played and gigged on all the family of Saxophones, I tend to keep to Tenor and Soprano, especially for rock and progressive work. More recently I have been concentrating on Soprano - it has the highest and sweetest of tones for cool and mellow sounds, it seems to suit 'folk' work as well, and can reach out and cut through any combo when needed for solo's".
"THE TWO NEW SINGLES can be DOWNLOADED through IMMG's NU-JAZZ RECORDS
at our Soundclick Store
"THE SINGLES,came about from from a selection of chord and rhythm structures that were thrown at me a few years ago at a jazz master class week-end. You are given a bunch of brief frameworks to work up lyrical lines on the spot. A bit like the Greenwich Village beat generation 'improv evenings'. I really enjoyed making something more of them - Merci bien to Monsieur John Perkins." who really got into the Santana electric groove on 'Man Friday".
I have appeared on a track for John Perkins and Roger Toye called NO ROOM AT THE INN This track is released as a charity download for the homeless. News of the release will be posted at our respective pages and bulletins. Please support this well needed venture. The track is posted here with permisssion of IMMG.

Soundclick page.
"I am also pleased to say that the STONEFRONT PROMO SINGLE is finally released - check it out, it's downloadable and a great piece of true new 70's classic rock and ambiance from a band that left an indelible musical imprint on my mind."
