Brian Harding is a jazz trumpet player from Sioux Falls, SD. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Music from Norther State University in Aberdeen, SD in 2007 under trumpet professor Dr. Grant Manhart. Brian began his professional career with Dr. Manhart by performing in his 8-trumpet jazz group "The Dominant 7." With this group Brian had the opportunity to record an album, be featured at the 2006 University of Wisconsin-Madison's Annual Spring Varsity Concert, and even open for Arturo Sandoval at the 2006 International Trumpet Guild Conference in Glassboro, NJ.
Currently, Brian is earning his Masters in Music Performance with an Emphasis in Jazz Studies at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY under trumpet professor Mr. Greg Wing and jazz instructors Dr. Gordon Towell and Dr. Steve Snyder. During his time at MSU, Brian was selected as a finalist in the jazz division at the 2008 National Trumpet Competition, and was selected as an Outstanding Soloist at the 2009 Elmhurst College Jazz Festival and the University of Louisville Jazz Fesival.
Aside from his studies and performances, Brian enjoys to play baseball, watch Scrubs and spend his time with the love of his life, his beautiful fiance Danielle Cirelli.
