COMING FALL 2008: A Feature Documentary Film about the Jackson Hole Air Force and Skiings Rebel Spirit

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

In 1967 the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opened what would become known as the most challenging lift-serviced ski terrain in the US. Little did its founders realize that they would also be spawning a new breed of renegade skiers – American Rebels - who saw boundaries only as something to be crossed.“Swift. Silent. Deep.” is the story of skiing’s rebel spirit and the secretive crew who call themselves the Jackson Hole Air Force. These are the salad days of Benny Wilson, Howie Henderson, Doug Coombs, Dave the Wave, and the liberating paradigms of their band of civil disobedients. As the Air Force pushed skiing’s boundaries at home in Jackson Hole and to the north in Alaska, the face of skiing would be never be the same. This coming-of-age tale of passion, rebellion and pushing boundaries, set in the unknown realm called Out of Bounds would change skiing forever.“You couldn’t join it if you wanted to, but after you’ve been skiing Jackson for a few years, if you’ve skied everything big and hard and skied it with style, if you’ve ducked ropes and snuck out of bounds and kept your mouth shut, if you’ve hung in there with the best of them, someday someone might come up to you and hand you a small diamond shaped patch with a skull, crossed poles, and the motto, “Swift. Silent. Deep.”
