What do you get from an artist who opened up for acts like G-Dep, and B5, leaving audience's screaming, and signing autographs by the age of 13. You get 100percent, the future of hip-hop, the truth. Like any other upcoming rap group or rapper, the road to success is never an easy one. Growing up in the projects in Providence RI, a small city where you don't see many famous rappers make it big, this artist had the odds against him from the beginning. But this would not stop him, as he made a name for his self locally, rocking the mic at local talent shows, and venues like AS220, where he crafted his on stage performance. Opening up for Bad Boy Record's "G-Dep", was the 1st large talent showcase Monee joined, unfortunately landing 3rd place, but winning many new ears to his music. The 2nd largest gig, was opening up for B5, which was an audience of at least 2,000 plus. The funny thing about this gig was that the main event "B5" never showed up, but Monee still rocked the whole crowd and took over the showcase. With many other local talent shows, and gigs Monee crafted his on stage performance, and perfected his skills as an emcee. Monee is more of the flashy type, I'll take your girl rapper, while a little street. All together, at the end of the day Monee, represents the culture of hip-hop, and started rapping for the love of it, shooting down any comparisons, to people who fall in love with videos and want to become rappers.
