About Me

Dirty Filthy is THREE!
Three years ago to this day Dirty Filthy was born. Hosting our first ever night ‘Upstairs @ Fusion’ with Al Bradley and Phil Towers as residents. Since then it’s been up, down, left, right, inside out and upside down, both mentally and physically, always striving to bring you the best parties, with the best atmosphere, and undoubtedly the best electronic music available in the area.
Our efforts have seen us host the Bar for Bugged Out!, Tribal Sessions and In Bed with Space at Sankeys in Manchester, main room action at Snug Club in Blackburn, Doin’ It After Dark at The Venue in Lancaster, not forgetting where we originated, hosting the Glitz room on Friday nights at Fusion.
But one venture that stands out from the rest is the night we decided to take over the Swan Inn. Our regulars know what a good move that was. The second birthday in September 2008 was hailed as one of the best parties Burnley has ever seen (it also kept us from giving in after too many wreckages!) and we are still here one year later with a monster line-up which flattens anything going on anywhere else in the area.
For this event we are going for all out madness, opening up both levels with two contrasting styles of music.
After much deliberation and careful consideration, we are very pleased to announce our special guest for this evening. It’s a Dirty Filthy Exclusive. It’s a Sankeys Soap legend. It’s the Warehouse Projects head Resident. It’s only fuckin’ KRYSKO!
Fresh from Bestival on the Isle of Wight, Krysko is sneaking a trip into Burnley before he officially kicks of the new Warehouse Project season the week after with Angello and Ingrosso. Krysko has so kindly agreed to come and give us a sneak preview of what’s rocking his box and what will ultimately be rocking the foundations beneath the streets at the WHP ’09.

As with many youngsters brought up in Burnley, Lancashire, Adam used to go to the legendary Angels nightclub almost every week. "I got a lot of inspiration from DJ's that used to play there, recalls Adam "Oakie, Pete Tong, Sasha, Carl Cox... I've seen them all grace the decks in Burnley, although it's hard to imagine now!" Those hazy nights spent in that club made Adam appreciate the music, deciding from then on, his life ambition was to DJ.
"I started DJ'ing at about 14, on the worst belt drive decks you have ever seen! They were Citronic and the tempo adjust was just a knob you turned left to speed up and right to slow down..." laughs Adam. "Absolute nightmare!"
As Adam grew up through the 90's he started to broaden his horizons and travel across the North, over to Crasher and Cream @ Nation where he religiously worshipped Paul Oakenfold throughout his residency in the Courtyard. "I was there the night he did his 'Oakenfold - Resident' CD, recorded live from Cream" recalls Adam.
"After the Millenium I started to get into House music and used to go to Back to Basics in Leeds, Bed in Sheffield and Circus in Liverpool week in week out. Now I am bang into Minimal House and Techno." Asked who are his heroes, Adam cooly replies "Sven, Ritchie and Ricardo of course" - No Surnames required. "I've been allover the world to see these guys... Timewarp in Germany was one I'll never forget. The maddest thing I have ever seen!"
"I got my 1200s when I was 16 and have never looked back. My first gig was in Blackburn at a place called The Lounge." Recalls Adam, smiling at the memory. "From there I played at many venues across the North West. Lime Bar (Manchester) Cubes (Blackburn) and Afterlife (Burnley). I played on the Pinch Boat Party in Leeds which was an awesome experience I'll tell you! Adam has also played at Kanya, Ibiza showing the residents his unique ability to blend tracks and produce sound you just wouldnt expect.
Adam has just managed to secure himself a residency at 'Dirty Filthy', an underground house and techno night based in Burnley which has had some good reports of late. Not one to be tied down, Adam is also a resident at 'Disorder' at the Custard Facory, Birmingham, playing alongside names like Mr. C, Damian Lazarus and Slam, to name but a few. Having also played for CircoLoco at the Custard Factory, this boy is certainly getting himself noticed... Who knows what the future hold for this talented young Northerner, but from what I've seen, and reports I've heard about this lad, the future is bright, the future is Adam Passmore.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: dirty-filthy.co.uk
Influences:
I have been influenced by many people throughout my time in music, from a snotty nosed kid sneaking into Angels at 14, worshipping the likes of Oakenfold, Sasha & Digweed and Carl Cox, right through until today where my taste in music is heavily influenced by the likes of Sven Vath, Ritchie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos.

I wouldnt want to be labelled as a Sven Vath wannabe or to have people say I'm trying to be like Ritchie Hawtin, I'd like to say I have my own style in the records that I play, after all, immitation is nothing, individuality is everything.
