If Hip Hop is dead then this is D.A.H.M.A's obituary. Born Jeffrey Murphy Sept 9th, 1972 in Long Island N.Y. The home of Rakim, EPMD, De La Soul , Public Enemy and many others. This MC grew up with a loving mother and a drunk pops who could'nt play the guitar worth a damn. One day while playing outside as youth he heard Run DMC's cut Sucker MC's at a neighbors party. It changed his life forever. From that point on he was addicted to the culture. D.A.H.M.A has been spittin since the age of 13. In 1986 he relocated to Georgia when his grandfather passed. Moving from place to place exposed him to all different types of music. Rock, reggae, jazz, r&b, folk, country, and of course hip hop. After graduating high school he moved back to New York to further his rap career. Using the money he recieved in an automobile accident he pressed up 500 copies of his first single " Da Fever" on his own label Cujo Records.. It was produced by the late legendary MC Coke La Rock. If you do'nt know who that is do your homework. Although the single tanked he says " I was just happy to have a record out" In 1993 he joined the Army and served 10 years of active duty. After coming back from Iraq in 2003 he had one of two choices. Re-enlist for 10 more years or get out and do music full time. His decision was quite clear. March, 2004 D.A.H.M.A invaded Holland (it's in Europe) with nothing but luggage and hope for a better future. He worked two jobs to make ends meet and feed his six year old daughter. Along the way he met Raw Jawz and from the love of music a friendship was born. In his three year stay in Europe D.A.H.M.A (Does Anybody Have My Answers) has been on three mixalbums, One E.P. and has had a top 25 hit in Belgium. He has worked with producers such as Blessed, Roy Skudd, S.A.L, The Beat Cartel and Mr Burnem Up of DangerousLLC. Now offically signed to Most Wanted International he's about to kill the game with skill, honesty and a sense of humor. Be warned.
