About Me

Fitzo Perfecto: Biochemical Pathway To the Mind [OR] The Odd Behavioral Response
Re-Release in Spring 2008 (re-mixed and re-mastered)
Reviews:
"[Fitzo Perfecto] designs melodic patterns with world music imagery that resembles the stress-free sound waves of Radiohead. Tracks like “The Great Compromise Part I,” “The Great Compromise Part II,” and “The Great Compromise Part III” have starry synth patterns with ethereal psychedelics, a sleek sheen, and a sense of serenity. The music has a symphonic glaze and a serpentine flow, with art-pop hooks."

"Fitzo Perfecto's new album...experiments with many different types of sounds ranging from spaced-out guitar tones, thrashing drums, and both natural and heavily-effected vocals."

Auto-Bio:
Lucas Brode is one confusing, creative individual. Growing up on Punk Rock seems an unfitting musical introduction considering his main influences nowadays include Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Tom Waits and Steve Reich, but it is still very much a part of the energy in the music he creates. Lucas has been recording his own compositions since 2004, but 2007's "A Collection Of Sounds From the Mindfuck" (available through cdbaby and itunes ) was the first full length album made available to the public.
Recently, the Fitzo Perfecto project has been in full effect with tireless work being done on new material, including the official release of the full-length "Biochemical Pathways To the Mind [OR] The Odd Behavioral Response" and a series of EP releases. "Biochemical Pathways" will be seeing a late February/early March 2008 release, with the EPs to be released throughout the spring. New material ranges from mellow, ambient-folk to brooding progressive rock with an assortment of instruments including xylophone, melodica, various synths and found sounds. The summer will bring another full-length for Fitzo Perfecto and scattered concert performances in the New York area.

Nearly half way done with remixing and mastering "Biochemical Pathways To the Mind [or] the Odd Behavioral Response" at this point, which is currently my main focus. The release should happen within the next few weeks. "Strange Atlas" is also nearing completion, with about two thirds of the recording finished. I'm planning to release that EP sometime in March, followed by a second EP (which i have already done a little bit of work on) tentatively called "World On Drugs" hopefully in April. The springtime will therefore be quite busy for me, as I'm still enrolled in a full college semester. The summertime will be just as fruitful, with the "Monorail Conductor" LP and a few scattered shows in the works.
