3 New Tunes are here!
I have finally posted some rough mixes of new songs I've been recording at my good friend Dan Ubick's studio up at Top o' Topanga (Dan layed down bass on some of these tracks, Steve Tounsand on drums). I was hesitant to do so since they are not really complete or mixed down yet, but it's been so fun and rewarding to be able to record at this studio, I just like sharing- even if it's not a finished product yet. Hope you enjoy..
A Quick History: Hi- I started playing guitar around the age of 6 or so, first learning Eagles songs from family records and then moving on to learning FM hard rock off the radio. I've pretty much been playing, performing and recording music ever since, picking up the piano and cello and other instruments along the way. I've been extremely lucky to have so many amazing and talented friends with whom I have played in some great bands with. Besides my 7th grade cover band The Draft, they include 1983 seminal punk band S.O.S. (myspace.com/showerofsmegma, pjdmusic.com/sos), my most important ongoing project band with my best friends from the age of 15 Mustard (myspace.com/mustardsongs), post-punk prog thrashers Hedgehog, surf-lounge-spy instrumentalists The Inspectors and tasty Badman label indie band The Red Thread. I've also played guitar here in L.A. for singer/songwriter Lysa Flores and I have scored a short film. All the while I have constantly home-cooked my own recordings, some of which I have posted here. I plan to release a full-length of my instrumental music, plus continue to record with Mustard mates Sean Wheatley and Steve Tounsand. Look for new Mustard recordings and Steve & Daryle singer-songwriter project 'SandyGold' in late '08/early '09!
