Respect Wildlife

In my local town I am known as the "cat lady".I got that name because of the volunteer work I do for a local cat rescue group. Every cat I own I personally rescued off the streets myself, 3 of my kitties where bottle fed by us. My oldest cat Zachary was being abused my our next door neighbor in the last town we lived in. We rushed him right into the vet and got him all the care he needed. Except for Zachary, the rest of my cats where all born to feral mother cats. Some I bottle fed and could not part with, and the others where too feral to adopt, yet I did not have the heart to return them outdoors so I kept a couple for my own pets. I volunteer for a feral cat rescue organization that implements the "TNRM" program which is led nationally by Alley Cat Allies of Washington, DC.Ask me How To Tame a feral kittenOur 2 dogs are a shelter rescue from Maine, a very nice lady there rescued them from horrible barn conditions. They are a mother daughter pair and are real rascals!! And of course CUTE! They go every where with us, and love to go on vacation They are the bestOur children are also adopted, they where in state care because of abusive parents. Our children are our lives, We cannot imagine life without them. I also believe that our laws to protect animals and children are not strict enough. Every day an animal or a child is being abused. If more people become active and report the abuse then maybe more can be done to stop it. I am very compasionate about all living things and will do my best to make sure they are treated properly.I am originally from Texas and moved to RI 21 years ago. My partner and I have been together for 21 years. We are the mother's of 2 beautiful children, a 14 year old boy, a 10 year old girl and many "fur-kids". We are very active with our local church where I also teach Sunday School.
