A songwriter's musician, Paul K is a veteran of the Kentucky music scene with over 30 recordings under his belt. The band is a solid, authentically satisfying, working class blues rock outfit with a sharp intellectual edge. This is not “their best lineup ever†nor is it a “startling change in direction†or “the sound of new ground being broken.†This is simply a great rock group doing what they know best with the most minimal amount of bullshit. The triple disc “Panopticonâ€, released in early winter of 2006, had been greeted as something of an enigma, unclassifiable and far from commercially viable. Nevertheless, the group prospers and is now in its 24th year of playing raw pop music for Kentuckians.************************February 2008 marked the debut of the latest release Maintain Radio Silence. Where Panopticon was ear candy for fans who've been with the band since Paul K's debate scholarship at University of Kentucky back in the early 1980's; this album made a strong appeal to newer listeners who were merely acquainted with the legend of all that is Paul K. It has been well known that the long time fan base has often been split by album titles and three pint discussions. Maintain Radio Silence provided something for everyone and incorporated new songs, covers, instrumentals, spoken word and a Detroit boy's ballad for the Bluegrass State. It has been said over a dozen times that this album grows on you with each spin from start to finish. At the end of 2008, Maintain Radio Silence was the album your favorite audiophiles were clamoring to download from www.paulkweathermen.com************************Recently announced is news of a Paul K Documentary by director and producer John Bosch which is scheduled for release in October 2009 along with what has been rumored to be the best and most timely of Paul K albums. This will be the third album of the current line up and already slated to be a milestone in the independent music scene... Logo designers
