R4 began producing music in 2000 while studying in sound school , obsessed with the darker side of Detroit electro-techno and the aesthethic of labels such as UR and Warp Records.R4 project is about new school electro, which to me means electronic funk and soul music renewed by current technological capabilities and by the perspective which multiple influences provide: techno, concrete music, IDM, hip hop, pop or free improvisation.Nowadays R4 mixes classic sequencing with self created probability sequencers and MIDI melodic random generators.
