About Me
The history of Bones in the Museum is a long one, so hold on to your attention spans. Once upon a time, Will Morrell and Joe King started playing music together. They played in many bands that never got out of his Will's mother's basement, and eventually embarked on separate music projects. Will played in Jif and the Choosey Mom's and the Alternates, while Joe played in Your Favorite Hero. Eventually, Will's bands broke-up and Your Favorite Hero determined that Joe's ego was too big for him to be in the background. After all that mess, Joe started writing his own songs and recorded them with Jordan Shirks. Soon, Joe wanted to play shows, so he enlisted Will to play drums with him. Then, in 2007, Joe met Nate Austin and recorded "The East Hills". In that same year, he also met Paisley, who has added a great deal to Bones in the Museum's evolving sound. However, between 2007 and 2009, Bones in the Museum went through a slew of line-up changes that included: Joe King, Will Morrell, Paisley Rose, Will Ross, Danny Hicks, and Aaron Morrell. Bones in the Museum finally settled on their current line-up which is: Paisley Rose, Joe King, and Will Morrell.
Now that "The East Hills" is out of the way, they are recording an Lp entitled "A Curious Discourse of Arms and Letters." It should be released by the Summer of 2009 on Their independent label The Milk Crate Group.
As Bones in the Museum, we strive to do as much as possible in keeping with the Punk DIY mindset, which includes, but is not limited to making merchandise, booking, pressing, and recording our own stuff. Also, it is important to us that shows and merchandise are cheap. That is why we like to keep CD's and shirts at a price of five dollars or less and do are best to see that the cover charge at shows is the same; the cheaper the better. Furthermore, we try our best to make sure that admittance to the shows are not discriminatory by age, race,, sex, sexual preference, religious beliefs, wealth, or another factors. In short, we are anti-rock star.
