E-Business Systems and Net communications have changed IT tremendously. I feel the most important change has to do with the medical community. No longer do we have to go to an emergency room unconscious and not knowing if we are going to get treated correctly. The medical staff enters your name in the computer and your whole medical history down loads from file servers that are connected to every other hospital in the country(and soon the world).Allergies, prescriptions and prior medical knowledge help keep you healthy..
On a personal level this technology is a Godsend for me.
Heaven forbid I end up in the hospital unawake I could die without this new technology.
Im allergic to iodine and my fear has always been, “what if they need to run tests on me with iodineâ€. Without E-Business systems and Net Communications there would be a lot of waiting on faxes, emails and possibly death.
