New England Rockabilly

About Me

This page was created as a tribute to those pioneering rockers from the Northeastern United States also known as the New England area. While the young cats and kittens in the Southwest were creating their own brand of Rock n' Roll, the youth up in the Northeast were creating their own racket with just as much force in the 1950s!!! Amazing artists emerged from this scene in the 1950s such as Curtis Johnson and His Windjammers, Ricky Coyne and His Guitar Rockers, Gene Maltais, Joe Therrien Jr., The Rhythm Rockers, Mel McGonnigle, Leigh Howell and the Uniques, and etc. Please help spread the word about these young guns(at least they once were young), as they have been unfairly written out of the history books of Rock n' Roll.
