Killing Kate first got together as a bunch of seasoned professionals in the London gigging and recording scene in 2007. "It was the longest audition and networking process I've ever known" says Matt Love, guitarist, "I mean I'd been having email and telephone conversations with Jonny for like a year before we got into a rehearsal room together! And Florian, man he'd emailed me 4 months before and said he was coming to England from Austria, I thought "fuck that man, what a waste"... And then we jammed. That was it!". After various lineup changes the band settled in early 2008 and have been working hard recording their debut EP. In the final mixing stages, the forthcoming EP promises to deliver hard, gutsy balls to the wall british hard rock, with influences ranging from 70's classic hard rock to 80's/90's US metal.Screeching vocals are provided by Willy Norton, thumping bass by Jonny Thornton, pounding skin action from Florian Hartl, and chugging guitars from Matt Love.The band are currently booking shows to promote the their EP release.
