Rapper EL SCONE hails from the sinister streets of Baltimore Maryland . The city conviently nicknamed BODY-MORE MURDER-LAND . He was born Robert M. Minor II, to Theresa Gaters and Robert M. Minor I . El Scone a.k.a Scone or Sconis is the oldest of three siblings ( two sisters Rachel , Shannon ) . At 5 Scone's father disapeared out of his life , leaving his mother with 2 kids and alot of bills . While watching his mother struggle to keep things running smoothly Scone then realized he had to get rich , so his mother could get a chance to enjoy her life . He also learned that the most important thing on this earth is family and love . With out one or the other you have nothing . At the age of 9 Theresa was getting married to Scones step father Anthony L. Toppin , and about to have Shannon . While growing up Scone excelled in school , sports , and getting in trouble . When I got to high school ( Carver voc. ) alot of things changed . I had more freedom , I was the youngest person in my class ( 13 ) , I also was one of the people in the in crowd as they say . It was hard to focus on school with so much going on around me . I was more focused on girls and getting money to be honest . Which lead me to selling drugs and getting arrested in school . I still did'nt learn my lesson , I went to a total of three high schools . I went to Southwestern Sr. High ( they put me out ) but I graduated from Walbrook Sr. high . Graduating was'nt easy because during the summer of 98 I was arrested for armed car jacking and kidnapping . Thanks to a good lawyer God and my mother I beat the charge and still managed to graduate . I also had to deal with the pressures of being a teenage father ( 16 ) watching my mother go threw a divorce wathching homeboys and home girls pop up dead or in prison made me focus my energy on something more positive , Rap .Now I am a proud father of three , I am part of a up and coming music label S.T.E. inc. ( www.stemedia.com ) I have been featured on several mixtapes and local songs . We have performed all over the country , and been played in steady rotation on Shade 45 ( Sirius radio ) . My influences are Jay-Z , 2 pac , and Biggie Smalls . My inspiration is my kids and family . I would like to also mention my label mates , without them none of this would be possible . They helped keep me stay focused even when my mother and prison could'nt . Thanks Niggaz ! Last but not leat I would like to thank God for letting me live out a dream !
